history3_trappedWhile I am working on collecting all the social media links for the actors as a reference post (I know Andy and Kenny's quite well, but Chris's and Jake's less so), some of the other members here have encouraged me to kick things off with another reference post on all the reasons why you should get on the Andy Bian x Kenny Chen ship, if you're not on already.
I am usually the very last person to believe that any two given actors are dating even when the internet insists they are, so please believe me when I tell you that it's very possible that Andy Bian and Kenny Chen are actually boyfriends.
Allow me to present you some pieces of evidence*.
*seriousness of evidence not guaranteed.
1. All of the kissing
They are, hands down, the best kissers on Trapped, and it shows with the copious amount of tongue they use, which Andy cannot shut up about. It doesn't help that Kenny hadn't kissed anybody in real life before Andy, either.
but apparently once they started, they couldn't stop. Like in this interview, where Andy says that on the days they were filming the kisses, they spent all day practicing. Andy even says, that the only time their mouths weren't connected was when they were eating.
They clearly didn't need to spend all that time practicting, but let me tell you, they clearly wanted to. And hey, it paid off.
2. Andy insisted on sleeping in the same bed with Kenny, TWICE.
In the Let's Go to Bed interview, all four of the Trapped boys were asked about their sleeping habits and positions. Andy and Kenny both said they are the type to kick and flop around, to which Andy's response was, "We should sleep in the same bed."
...and he wanted this badly enough, he said it TWICE.
I have no heterosexual explanation for this.
3. They share clothes
Or at least, that one very memorable T-shirt in particular...
4. Their agency even tags them with the Jack/Zhao Zi ship name in real life #立克cp
For example, their duet at Kenny's birthday party
Or when they're just having dinner after a thing...
5. Kenny called Andy 老公 (lao gong, meaning "hubby") on the NewShowBiz game show segment
Apparently, they also call each other "babe" on the regular too...
6. Andy never stops talking about how cute 可爱 Kenny is
7. At Andy's birthday party, Stanley Mei called Kenny Andy's "wife"
The term he uses is actually 原配 which has the connotation of one's original or destined partner (back when arranged marriages were a thing). The implication of "original" is that it is the person you were made for.
Basically, Stanley (who plays Li Zhide in Trapped) told everybody at Andy's birthday party he and Kenny are totally boyfriends and that they are made for each other.
Yes, that is what I am choosing to believe.
8. Kenny said "Greetings from your daughter-in-law" to Andy's mother on Mother's Day.
So, Andy made an instagram post with his mom about mother's day, and Kenny replied with "Hi Mom, greetings from your daughter-in-law!"
...I'm not kidding, this happened.
9. They livestreamed together on Christmas Eve.
In Asia, you don't spend Christmas with your family, you spend it with your significant other. Christmas is romantic, and Andy did a livestream with Kenny, where they sang Wham!'s "Last Christmas" and some bits of the Trapped opening theme.
Also, Andy joked about FOUR TIMES, in the course of 40 minutes, about opening his Christmas present and making a grab for Kenny's hoodie.
He tried to take Kenny's clothes off. Kenny was his Christmas present.
10. They're going on a cruise together to Okinawa.
For Kenny's birthday, Andy bought the two of them a cruise to Okinawa. This is not a group bro entourage get together, this is just Andy and Kenny going to Okinawa. ...during the press interview, when Kenny remarked on the size of the gift, Andy responded with "Wait until next year, I'll get you a cruise to Iceland." They're making long-term plans.
(the video isn't subtitled, so you are all just going to have to trust me when I tell you it says what it says.)
It was later noted during the actual party proceedings, that this cruise will be Kenny's first trip to Okinawa, and they joked about how many 'firsts' he'd given to Andy so far. His first on-screen kiss, his first kiss in real life, his first visit to Okinawa.
WHAT OTHER FIRSTS WILL HAPPEN ON THIS TRIP?
11. That one time Kenny drew a picture of Andy.
A couple days before Kenny's birthday celebration, he went for a short interview on An An Superstar. The host remarked that he'd heard that Kenny likes to draw, and asked Kenny to draw him a picture of Andy Bian. So Kenny did. Putting some big red lips next to him, saying, "These are for him."
...that's not indicative of anything, nope.
12. That one time Kenny said "I love you."
One of the segments on An An Superstar is a chemistry challenge, with Jake & Chris competing against Andy & Kenny. Kenny wrote "I love you" after a challenge to write down what the other was thinking after staring into each other's eyes for a few seconds.
Nothing says you're dating like an errant "I love you" thrown out in the middle of a game show. Andy & Kenny won.
This was originally going to be a list of 10 things, but I extended it out to 12 because THERE ARE THAT MANY I CAN THINK OF OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.

PHAHAHAHAhahahah where is the lie. Their kissing scenes are the best on the show, hands down. From what I saw from the BTS the times they were stopped and corrected were because they got TOO FIRED UP. Like, Kenny using tongue, and them just... being so intense it looked desperate, and they were asked to slow it down.

And this was Kenny's First Time kissing someone. And he's that fired up and enthusiastic? Damn! *fans self* No wonder Andy couldn't stop kissing him.

RIGHT? I have to confess, that I was slightly grossed out by Chris and Jake kissing. It just...looked really weird and unnatural during some of the scenes? They just didn't practice as much as Kenny and Andy did, obviously. XDD

They really go at it with the subsequent kisses, there are some extra pics that are released in the photobooks and logbooks, and there is some serious tongue action happening. There is passion there, and Andy and Kenny were both feeling it.

They obviously kissed A LOT, as confirmed by them both. And pretty much Andy always pointed out that Kenny likes to use his tongue. Andy thinks it's hilarious that Kenny used so much tongue. I'm certain that Andy enjoyed it, and he says it all the time to embarrass Kenny, because he's kind of a troll like that. I think you are right to say that he was delighted!

I feel weak when Andy always NEEDS to have a hand behind Kenny's head (for support? to guide the kiss? it looks super possessive tbh~😳). As you said, some of Jake/Chris kisses didn't look that natural (though I'm sure they tried their best). I wasn't expecting much from the side couple when it came to kissing if even the main couple looks unnatural when doing that, you know? So when that staircase kiss happened I was pretty much in shock. I don't generally expect good kisses from asian dramas, I'm used to them pressing their lips together and moving just slightly so when Jackzi kissed with such passion I was like eeeeh?? :o They committed fully, there was no hesitation there. And looking at the bts where the director urges them to /slow down/ phahahah just imagine if the director actually let them kiss as they liked, we wouldn't be having this conversation rn because we would be dead.

It was SO good, don't get me wrong, but they cut off so much.;; Kenny pressing Andy into the wall (wait, lemme take a breath bc woah o///o) is so tasty, but you can see it only in behind the scenes. You can't really see it in the final cut. It's such a waste. >.<
And the table make-out? Woohoo boy, they snogged a lot. Yet the scene is shot from afar, from the outside, and we can't see it well. And it just frustrates me because they worked so hard for it, just for it to be blurry. And honestly? If we had gotten a close-up of the kissing on the table it would have been delicious.
