Welcome to the HIStory3: Trapped 圈套 Community on Dreamwidth

Even the though the fandom is spread around on various social media platforms, I think there are enough people on Dreamwidth who have seen the show to merit a separate community to celebrate our favorite disaster gangsters and their disaster cop boyfriends.

This is a comm for discussing and sharing the love of Trapped 圈套 and its related content, including:
• All types of discussion, discourse, and squee
• Actor news and spam (RPS and speculation is acceptable)
• Fan works (fanfiction, podfic, art, icons, vids, etc.), including your own work, challenges, recs and fanwork finding, beta requests
• Episode recaps

You are encouraged to post content directly to the community so that discussion can happen in one central place.

Because I hear I'm not supposed to blame things on bonibaru

I dunno, she is quite the disease vector. Perhaps she will accept the word "credit" as a substitute for "blame"?

I liked how Zuo Hong Ye was written and acted and I thought Dao Yi's fraught state over their relationship was very believable.

I was on the fence about Hong Ye for a long time while watching it, but by the end, I really, really liked her. Dao Yi's reservations about their relationship are 110% LEGIT.

Her protective love for Tang Yi is really sweet, and I adore how frustrated she got when she found Jack and Zhao Zi frolicking in the pool.

The only thing I still haven't quite figured out is...Hong Ye was in cahoots with Ah-De during the early part of Shao Fei's stay as Tang Yi's bodyguard, and she wanted Ah-De to send some thugs to beat Shao Fei up during their shopping trip, but then Ah-De involved what's-his-face (Han Hao? Something like that?), and he was the one who decided go with the shooting of Shao Fei? I was always slightly confused by how that went down...

I was in love with Hong Ye from minute one and when we got to that scene I was alternating between oh noooooooooo and oh yessssssss bc I do like my surprise!antagonists when they're done well. I don't know if my interpretation is correct about how much she knew about Ah-De's shenanigans, but... maybe I could make a post about it sometime in the next week and people can bounce ideas around?

Thank you for encouraging me to create the comm! I had always been unsure whether there was critical mass to really bother, but you helped me that there is!

It would be absolutely awesome for you to make a post about how much Hong Ye knew about Ah-De and the faction that clearly wanted to go with Chen Wen Hao, because that is one of the things I was never quite clear about! Would be interesting to hear what other folks have to say!

Please do! I’m very confused about who knew what and who was plotting with whom. Although a rewatch will probably help some, I fear I need additional input to try to tease out what was going on.
