i also like the new level of familiarity they have in this scene, yet both are quite aware of the dangerous secrets still between them, but there's a new sense of care in their interaction. tang yi doesn't say much, but the way his eyes subtly react to some of MSF's words... SIGH. oh, this ship!
This is a great scene. We start with a bit of MSF being a decent cop, making good deductions. There are little moments of connection between them. And then MSF shows that he CARES about TY’s wellbeing. Lovely!
FROG SHIRT OMG. it's pretty incredible on its own, but as contrast to what andy (the sudden rival) is wearing, it is OUT OF THIS WORLD hilarious
I want to send a big bouquet of heartfelt thanks to the costumer designer for these choices. *chef's kiss*
tang yi is by then fully aware 1) that he's into this ridiculous, relentless, loyal to a fault, intense, adorable cop; and 2) that said cop is totally attracted to him as well but doesn't seem to know it
Now that I've internalised clevermanka's insight about TY knowing how he feels and just waiting for MSF to catch up, this scene is even better. TY's description of MSF to Andy is also delightful. TY has his eyes open and is OK with his feelings for this cop (a COP!!) however crazy it seems. Then when they're embracing their respective partners, TY and MSF's faces are fantastic - MSF all soulful and hurt with TY smirking and upping the sexy.
